SMP Europe

SMP Europe has announced a new range of NOx sensors. 25 part numbers, covering a wide range of popular European vehicle manufacturers. Launched today at Automechanika in Frankfurt, samples available to view and the ability to place pre orders at stand H16 Hall 3.0.

This further strengthens SMP Europe’s position as an industry leader in Engine Management and Emissions components. NOx sensors will provide a welcome addition to a portfolio already supporting the aftermarket with a wide selection of high quality components for replacement of well known high failure parts.

NOx sensors monitor the level of nitrogen oxide being emitted by diesel vehicles to ensure compliance regulations, most engines feature two sensors, one upstream and one downstream. Commonly NOx sensors fail due to a build-up of soot, ECU water intrusion and/or damage to connecting cables. SMP Europe’s enhanced testing and validation processes ensure that components are capable of performing to high standards over a long service life in the harshest of operating conditions. The company has invested heavily over recent years in its testing laboratory, with machinery that can simulate a wide range of conditions – including temperature degradation, salt mist and vibration. This is combined with on vehicle testing to guarantee product performance capability.

It is expected that product will be available to ship from Q1 2023, with pre orders begin taken from the start of September this year. Existing SMP Europe customers should contact their dedicated sales agent. New customers can express interest by emailing info@smpeurope.com.
